At the Lantern Life Fitness Studio, our personal trainer will guide you in taking and interpreting your body composition analysis. If needed, a dietetic consultation may be necessary to further understand your health status.

This test will give you a greater understanding of your vital body composition markers, which include:

  • Total body weight
  • Body fat mass
  • Skeletal muscle mass
  • Total body water
  • Obesity analysis
  • % body fat
  • Waist-hip ratio
  • BMI
  • Segmental lean mass (% body fat of each part of your body)
  • Visceral fat (% of body fat around your organs)
  • Inclusive of Bioelectrical Impedance markers
  • Suitable for children and the elderly

For the most accurate results kindly note the following before you come in for your body composition analysis;

  1. Hydrate well the day before
  2. Use the restroom prior to testing
  3. Remove all jewellery, socks, stockings and shoes 
  4. Avoid eating 3 hours prior to testing
  5. Avoid exercising 6 hours prior to testing
  6. Avoid testing if you are pregnant, menstruating, have any metal implants, or have life sustaining medical implants such as pacemakers.
