Exercise for Dementia

The physical, mental and social components of dementia specific exercise sessions aim to improve the overall wellbeing of dementia patients.

The benefits of exercise for dementia patients have numerous positive impacts which include;

  • Improves activities of daily living (walking, dressing, eating, toileting, gardening etc).
  • Increased alertness and cognitive function.
  • Reduces tiredness and fatigue.
  • Improves memory and may slow down mental decline.
  • Improves mood, self esteem and confidence.
  • Enhances cardiovascular, muscular and bone health.
  • Reduce the risk of falls.

Members are required to be accompanied by a loved one or a caregiver for all scheduled sessions at Lantern Life Fitness.

This safe space, where your condition is well understood and managed through fun and mentally stimulating exercise sessions, is a great way of improving your overall health and quality of life!
